CFPhilfan (Judith) November 23, 2009 06:03 AM Carolyn, Phil's patriotic song is called "Old Glory" and is a bonus track on his new cd, "Into the Light." He wrote the song while he was in the Navy. He tells the story of walking on the beach after a Navy ceremony honoring some medal recipients, and saw the flag waving on a ship that was passing by. He has performed it many times, including for the Navy and at the Grand Ole Opry. Youtube has many links to the song if you type in his name and the title. A Navy performance from '07, which is their 232nd anniversary of the Navy, has the song titled "Glory," which is not the full title. He has a version of it on his myspace, but the original version is what you hear at his concerts.:-). He is supposed to have a music video to the song come out soon. |

What gifted musicians and singers ya'll...thank you so much for sharing... Would you please pass on the name of the patriotic song that Phil sang--beautifully presented...just perfect in every way... Would love to see a bunch of Christian music bands perform at the Pepsi Arena in Albany and fill the house with music for God! Thank you! |
